It is the policy of Panoptes Digital that employees and agents will handle the Personal Information of our employees, customers and end consumers responsibly and in compliance with applicable privacy and data protection laws.

 

At Panoptes Digital we consider personal information to be data that can be used to identify or contact a single person.  While interacting with the company or its affiliates you may be asked to provide your personal information any time you are in contact with us.  Panoptes Digital and its affiliates may share this personal information with each other and use it consistent with this Privacy Policy.  We may also combine it with other information to provide and improve our products and services, content and/or advertising.  You are not required to provide the personal information, but if you chose not to do so, in many cases we will be unable to provide you with our products or services or respond to any questions you may have.

 

Personal information we may collect

When you create a Panoptes Digital ID, register your products, purchase a product, download software or a software update, contact us or participate in an online survey, we may collect information, including your name, your location, mailing address, phone number, email address as well as your contact preferences.

 

Personal information we may use

Personal information we collect about you allows us to keep you up to date on Panoptes Digital’s and Panoptes Digital affiliated company’s latest product announcements, software updates, and upcoming events.  If you don’t want to be on our mailing list, you can opt out anytime by informing us via the Panoptes Digital contact us page at http://panoptesdigital.com/contact/.

 

We may also use your personal information to help us create, develop, operate, deliver, and improve our products, services, content and advertising, and for loss prevention, anti-counterfeiting and anti-fraud purposes.
We may use your personal information to send important notices, such as communications about purchases, recalls and changes to our terms, conditions and policies.  Because this information is critical to your interaction with Panoptes Digital, you may not opt out of receiving these communications.  Your personal information may also be used for internal purposes such as auditing, data analysis, and research to improve Panoptes Digital’s products, services, and customer communications.  If you enter into a sweepstake, contest, or similar promotion we may use the information you provide to administer those programs.

 

Use and collection of Non-Personal Information

We also collect data in a form that does not, by itself, permit direct association with an individual.  We may collect, use, transfer, and disclose non-personal information for any purpose the company chooses.

This information may be aggregated and used to help provide us more useful information or be provided to our customers and to understand which parts of our website, products, and services are of greatest interest.

 

Panoptes digital considers aggregated data to be non-personal information for the purposes of this Privacy Policy.

 

When we combine non-personal information with personal information the combined information is treated as personal information for as long as it remains identifiable.
Technologies used for tagging and tracking

Panoptes Digital’s website, online services, interactive applications, email messages, and advertisements may use certain technologies like cookies and other technologies to help us better understand user behavior. Information we may gather includes items informing us about which parts of our website people have visited facilitating and measuring the effectiveness of advertisements and web searches. We consider information collected by cookies and other technologies to be non-personal information. Panoptes Digital and its partners may use cookies and other technologies in mobile advertising services to control the number of times you see a given ad, deliver ads that may better relate to your interests, and measure the effectiveness of ad campaigns.  If you do not want to receive ads with this level of relevance on your mobile device, you can opt out by informing us via the Panoptes Digital contact us page at http://panoptesdigital.com/contact/.  If you opt out, you will continue to receive the same number of mobile ads, but they may be less relevant because they will not be based on your activities or interests.  You may still see ads related to the content on a web page or in an application or based on other non-personal information. Opting out through PanoptesDigital.com/contact only applies to Panoptes Digital advertising services and does not affect interest-based advertising from other parties.
Panoptes Digital and our partners may also use cookies and other technologies to recall personal information when you visit our website, online services, and use our applications.  In these cases our goal is to make your experience with Panoptes Digital more user friendly and personal.  For example, knowing your first name helps us welcome you each time you visit the Panoptes Digital website or use our applications.  Knowing your country and language helps us provide a customized and more useful experience.  When we know someone using a computer or device has purchased a certain product or used a particular service it helps us make our advertising and email communications more relevant to their interests.  And, knowing your contact information, product serial numbers, and information about your computer or device helps us register your products, personalize your experience, and provide you with better customer service.

We may gather some information automatically and store it in log files when you use our website. In some of our email messages, we may use a “click-through URL” linked to content on the Panoptes Digital website or the websites of our affiliates.  When customers click one of these URLs, they pass through a separate web server before arriving at the destination page on the website.  We track this click-through data to help us determine interest in particular topics and measure the effectiveness of our customer communications.  If you prefer not to be tracked in this way, you should not click text or graphic links in the email messages.
Pixel tags enable us to send email messages in a format that our customers can read, and they tell us whether mail has been opened.  We may use this information to reduce or eliminate messages sent to customers.
Third Party Disclosures

Panoptes Digital may make certain personal information available to partners that work with Panoptes Digital to provide products and services, or that help Panoptes Digital promote products to customers.  In the case of personal information we will only share it between Panoptes Digital and Panoptes Digitals affiliates to provide or improve products, services and advertising; it will not be shared with unrelated third parties for their marketing purposes.  Panoptes Digital shares personal information with companies who provide services such as information processing, extending credit, fulfilling customer orders, delivering products to you, managing and enhancing customer data, providing customer service, assessing your interest in our products and services, and conducting customer research or satisfaction surveys. These companies are obligated to protect your information and may be located wherever Panoptes Digital operates.

Employees and any other person or entity processing Personal Information on behalf of Panoptes Digital must follow this policy and the policies and procedures referenced in this policy when processing Personal Information. Panoptes Digital takes this responsibility very seriously.  Online services such as the Panoptes Digital App may protect your personal information during transit using encryption such as Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). When your personal data is stored by Panoptes Digital, we use computer systems with limited access housed in facilities using physical security measures including when we utilize third party storage.
When you use some Panoptes Digital products, services, or applications or post on the Panoptes Digital forum, chat room, or social networking service, the personal information you share is visible to other users and can be read, collected, or used by them. You are responsible for the personal information you choose to submit in these instances. For example, if you list your name and email address in a forum posting, that information is public. Please take care when using these features.
Personal Information Retention and Integrity

Panoptes Digital makes it easy for you to keep your personal information accurate, complete, and up to date. We will retain your personal information for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

You can help ensure that your contact information and preferences are accurate, complete, and up to date by logging in to your account at Panoptes Digital.com/ TBD. For other personal information we hold, we will provide you with access for any purpose including to request that we correct the data if it is inaccurate or delete the data if Panoptes Digital is not required to retain it by law or for legitimate business purposes. We may decline to process requests that are frivolous, jeopardize the privacy of others, are impractical, or for which access is not otherwise required by local law. Children
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. In the event we learn that we have collected the personal information of a child under 13 we will take steps to delete the information as soon as possible.
Location-Based Services

When providing location-based services on Panoptes Digital products, Panoptes Digital and our partners and licensees may collect, use, and share precise location data, including the real-time geographic location of your computer or device. This location data is collected and is used by Panoptes Digital and our partners and licensees to provide and improve location-based products and services as well as identify the location of counterfeit products. For example, we may share geographic location with application providers or law enforcement when you opt in to their location services. Some location-based services offered by Panoptes Digital, such as the Panoptes Digital App feature, require your personal information for the feature to work.
Third-Parties
Panoptes Digital websites, products, applications, and services may contain links to third-party websites, products, and services. Our products and services may also use or offer products or services from third parties − for example, a third-party recipe app. Information collected by third parties, which may include such things as location data or contact details, is governed by their privacy practices. International Users

All the information you provide may be transferred or accessed by entities around the world as described in this Privacy Policy. Panoptes Digital abides by the “safe harbor” frameworks set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use, and retention of personal information collected by organizations in the European Economic Area and Switzerland but is NOT and does NOT represent that it is a registered safe harbor entity. Please note that personal information, including the information provided when using the Panoptes Digital App, regarding individuals who reside in a member state of the European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland is controlled by Panoptes Digital, and processed on its behalf by Panoptes Digital’s partners and affiliates. Personal information collected in the EEA and Switzerland when using the Panoptes Digital App is controlled by Panoptes Digital LLC.
